The aim of the centre is to impart knowledge in Indian Classical dance of Bharatanatyam and related arts with the intention of increasing community participation in multicultural Munich.
The centre not only imparts intensive training in Dance but the students learn Sanskrit, Indian Literature, Mythology, Poetry, Aesthetics, History of Dance, Philosophy, Spiritual thought and Theory of Dance. The classes are educative and interactive, encouraging creative expression and inculcating an awareness of the interdisciplinary approach by understanding the inter-relatedness of all art forms. The Centre provides an environment that fosters the artistic, intellectual and personal growth preparing students for successful and productive lives.
Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy gained her initial training in Pandanallur Style of Bharathanatyam. Over the years, with her experience and creativity has been able to give it a unique footprint of her own which is being recognized by the dance fraternity and the art connoisseurs in her performances and that of her students'. This transformation was never a drastic or intentional move but something that evolved into a beautiful piece of art over the years.

I loved every performance. It was a very enriching experience and some performances even brought tears to my eyes with the kind of impact they had. Any words of appreciation won't do justice to the effort that all the talented artists put into this. And of course, it was an absolute blissful treat to watch the legend herself.
Could not convey the wishes personally at Natya fest but just wanted to say it here - the event was really nice and beautiful.. we initially struggled a bit because it started but late and kids were getting restless but once the program started it was a treat to watch You must convey to your Guru, she is an absolute beauty of expression, art and talent - couldn't believe her energy and enthusiasm at this age!
